so this weekend was a major working weekend (and some nba playoffs mixed in...go spurs!) with an unexpected adventure through one of my sites. matt surprised us with a visit sunday and we explored my 'bridge' site for studio and actually conquered the abandoned railroad bridge. there may have been a little illegal trespassing, but i would never have wandered to all these wonderful spots without my two fearless companions. we had a great lunch at onion creek cafe, our new favorite outdoor dining spot.
we are sizing up whether or not we can walk across white oak bayou...
we crossed the small bayou inlet and matt discovered a bamboo trail up to the railroad bridge!

last night was our last soccer game of the season and it was a bittersweet evening. we have made such wonderful friends and it is starting to sink in that we will be gone in a few short weeks. we had a great time at chili's after the game and hope to get in one more festive gathering in early june before we head to scotland.
