if you can't beat it, join it! parts of scotland have received more snowfall this winter than they have in over 40 years. we have been hibernating as per usual, but decided to get out and enjoy some of the winter activities. namely hiking, sledding, boardgames....and drinking tequila with homemade enchiladas. :)
emily's parents have a cottage up in glenshee so we packed up and met friends up there for a weekend getaway. each couple brought a meal (curry, salmon, enchiladas) and the last day we had leftovers and managed to discover the beauty of haggis breakfast tacos with fresh avacado. yummm....who knew?!
we spent the better part of both days sledding and hiking up to the nearby hotel a few miles away called the dalmunzie house hotel. the cozy fire and good bar service made for a memorable day and lots of good snow angels. it was a great weekend during one of the toughest winters we've ever experienced. to see the rest of the pics, go here.
